Deb,
I should have said - congratulations on the Book Club, I think it's a fabulous idea and just what I've been looking for to expand the types of books I read.

I'm reading Agatha Christie at the moment and I'm just in awe of her skill ... I love the way the murderer is always right there in front of your face, but you never notice !!

It's great to see an online book club up and running through The Daily website.
I'm currently reading Geert Mak's In Europe: Travels Through The Twentieth Century, which is a fascinating mixture of history, reportage and travelogue as the author spend a whole year (1999) criss-crossing the continent.

At the same time I'm enjoying a science fiction satire Band of Gypsies by Gwyneth Jones in which a future England without peak oil has been taken over by a Rock and Roll Reich, which sounds rather like what would happen if Woodford Folk Festival ruled Australia from the moshpit! I'm an avid reader, so I will try and post a regular selection of current reads and constant favourite books.

Hello Kaia

If you're enjoying Harlan Coben then have a look at Henning Mankell.
Great crime reading but be prepared to be shocked and rocked!
SBS feature his stories as well and he looks exactly as I would have imagined him.

Let me know what you think!

Hello Danksta

You do have diverse reading habits. I look forward to hearing about more of your books!

I've tried to find your Geert Mak's in Europe:Travels through The Twentieth Century, and I can't find it on a book search anywhere?

But I did find Band of Gypsies! How great does that book look?

Part of an award winning Bold as Love Saga. In the Fantasy genre. We need to hear more about fantasy. Like everything, Book genre's go in and out of fashion. Used to be gardening, then bio's, then cooking - every chef that could boil and egg wrote a book, now non-fiction has its moment of glory. Wait a while and Fantasy will be back with us flying up the best seller list.

So Danksta, lets know about more of your books!

I have been wondering if you would be able to find out a burning question that I have had for some time in regard to the next exciting episode of the Cornelia Funke series of Inkspell/ Inkheart - any clues as to when this is due for release?? Cheers. Barb
