Oh brother, I'm hooked

July 11 | our TV junkies

Big Brother 2007 – what an action-packed series it has been already.

Yes, I admit to watching the show. And I know there are more of you out there ... Big Brother is watching!

When the series started, I was watching it on TV, as well as ritually checking up on the housemates on the internet – and watching Big Brother Up Late and Friday Night Live (FNL).

Okay, you’re right, maybe I do need to get a life!

On Sunday night, we saw Michelle (one of the intruders) get evicted from the show, and I can’t believe the general public (that’s all you seven to 35-year-olds) voted out the best housemate BB has ever had.

Let’s be honest, without her, the house is going to be boring. Watching Daniela and Joel stare at themselves all day and night just doesn’t make “quality” reality TV viewing.

You’ve got to hand it to Michelle, she was a breath of fresh air. Honest, loud, annoying, rude and confrontational. Everything you want in a housemate!

Yet as usual, the viewers have kept the dullest housemates in the house, ensuring these last three weeks will be painful to watch.

Still, I will be compelled to watch it to the finish.

Rumour has it there will be a triple eviction in the coming weeks.

There are seven housemates left and the series ends on July 30.

Who will go? Who will stay?

Who do you want to see win the series?

Could you have honestly lived with Michelle?

Michelle is the only housemate in the Big Brother series to tell it like it is or, as they say, 'keep it real'! I know she is a bit rough but the woman was able to stir the pot. The housemates get stuck in routines and become scared of being themselves in order to save themselves from being voted out. Imagine if Emma & Michelle were in the house together! Now that would have been priceless!

I just heard that Kyle Sandilands from the Sydney radio station is going to enter the big brother house on the weekend and is going to be airing his radio program live from the rewards room. Now doesn't this just ruin the whole idea of no contact with the outside world? Are they doing this to promote Australian Idol?

Okay, BB junkies: here's the link to the Kyle announcement: http://www.thedaily.com.au/news/2007/jul...

Maybe we'll be lucky and they'll just keep him locked up there.

I can't believe you people are still watching this stupid show. The same person wins every year: Mr Average Nice Guy With No Personality.

And there's always the same type of people in the house - vacuous young things whose most overwhelming concern in life is what colour they paint their toenails! I started watching this series because the producers promised more of a range of housemates but after a couple of episodes I decided it was just same old, same old. Is it really any different to the other series?

Yes Jessie, we are still watching the show! You obviously haven't watched this series. It's been action packed! Bodie & Hayley fighting, wimpy Andrew sticking up for his bossy girlfriend. Emma ignoring poor Rebecca & Jamie because she thought they were weird. Michelle came in and didn't let anyone fly under the radar! Demet & Michelle made the series. Having the king of stirring 'Kyle Sandilands' enter the house will surely cause more of a stir!

Have your say
