Statistical research is indicating the entry-level suburbs across the state are some of the strongest performers for sales volume.
So, whilst affordability continues to be an issue for first home buyers, the areas that have property in the $400,000 price bracket are continuing to show strong sales.
For buyers and investors, it’s another trend maintaining momentum. As affordability decreases, more and more buyers are looking to units and townhouses to get their foot on the first rung of the property ladder.
This is quite a pivotal point in the history of ‘living in Queensland’ on a social level, as the days of 1000sq m blocks and cricket games in the backyard are shifting to people from every demographic wanting lower maintenance living.
More prevalent in the southern states, the downsizing is gaining momentum here for obvious reasons - no mowing, with designer kitchens and a stroll to the restaurants, water and caffeine fix - the key ingredients for desirability.
The age demographics add to the appeal. It certainly gives the ‘less is more’ theory credibility in the consumer society we have become (see our inflation figures if you dispute that one!).

Interestingly, these sell quickly, so if you are in this market and want to purchase it may be to your benefit to register your intent with us so we can notify you in good time.
There are numerous ways to get started on what I believe is the soundest strategy for wealth creation – property!
My advice is to add value and buy location, it will never go out of style! Team up with trusted friends or family and watch your investment grow!
