Why bother with awards?

Why do we need to both entering awards?
The recognition factor is the big one - adding “award-winning” to your marketing material goes a long way to driving business to your door.
The networking opportunities you get where you can meet and be inspired and stimulated by other business owners. This is a great opportunity for talking to them about common business issues and concerns, and just mixing it with like-minded entrepreneurs.
There’s also the benefit of taking the time to examine your business processes, when you submit your application, which provides an often long-overdue insight into your business performance.
Even if you don’t win, this step will prove invaluable to assessing the health of the business and put you on the right course for future award applications.
As a judge the most common comment winners make at the awards nights is they didn’t think they had a chance of winning - they didn’t believe they were worthy of an award.
Many business owners don’t ‘own’ their achievements and sometimes it takes a pretty big nudge from someone else to get them to complete the nomination.
Remember it is your contribution to business that is worthy of celebrating so act now and enter one of the many awards processes in your region.
