Lasting effects of a big night out

October 9 | Coast police

Police were left stunned by the breath-alcohol reading returned by a female motorcyclist stopped in Bli Bli.

The woman was breath tested by officers on the David Low Way on Sunday.

She allegedly returned a reading of .257%.

What shocked police was that she was adamant that she had not had a drink since returning home from a big night out the previous evening.

It was 5pm in the afternoon when she was stopped for the random breath test.

The Bli Bli woman is to appear in court later this month.

Why not take vehicles off drunk and drugged drivers like police do with hoons. There is far more drivers under the influence than there are hoons so why not make it a level playing field when it comes to punishment.
