Police are continuing to take a hard line on disorderly and disruptive people on the Sunshine Coast.
During an operation conducted last weekend, unruly and troublesome people were target in the night club precincts of Caloundra and Mooloolaba.
The operation lead to 12 charges being laid against sveral people for various offences.
The charges included drug possession, disqualified driving, drink driving, public nuisance, obstructing police and liquor related offences.
More than 200 breath tests were performed and offenders were issued with a number of traffic tickets.
The offenders will appear in the Caloundra and Maroochydore Courts at various dates in the future.
Liquor tickets were issued to people drinking in the street and, just like an on-the-spot traffic ticket, the offender has 28 days to pay the fine.
The community has an expectation to walk the streets safely and free from troublesome people.
Operations like this form part of an ongoing commitment by Sunshine Coast police to remove unruly people from the streets.
