One round is left in the junior winter netball season before semi-finals start on August 16. Teams in the competitive age divisions will be hoping to cement a berth in the semi-finals this Saturday morning as they play their final rounds.
Noosa Netball Association has more than 26 teams participating in the Saturday morning competition, which caters for players aged 13 and under.
As well, the Netta Program and Net Set Go give those younger players (aged 5-8) the chance to develop their skills in a non-competitive environment.
The Saturday morning competition also provides the perfect opportunity to train junior umpires under the guidance of umpiring convenor, Bev Bullivant, who was recently awarded her national B grade badge.
The second season for both Monday and Wednesday nights is now ready to commence.
There is still room for teams to nominate for the Wednesday night competition, although this will need to be done by this week so that grading can be finalised.
In particular, the association is keen to have more teams/players nominate for the younger division, which especially caters for players 11-12 years of age, although older teams/players are also encouraged to participate in the older divisions.
Anyone who is interested should contact the clubhouse (5449 9896) or visit the Noosa netball website for contact details (www.noosa.netball. asn.au).
