Coolum guaranteed itself a place in the Caloundra RSL League football finals with a 2-1 home win over Maroochydore on Tuesday night.
The victory puts the Dolphins in outright third place on the table on 37 points and safely in the top four heading into this Saturday’s final round.
The result means NYU (34, +7 goal difference) and Woombye (32, -5) will battle it out for the last semi place on offer this weekend.
Should NYU win or draw its home match against Kawana, it will sew up a place in the finals. Woombye needs to upset minor premier Buderim at the Snake Pit and hope Kawana does it a favour.
