A delicious free brekkie and lots of fun is at the top of the menu for Riverfestival’s inaugural Sunsuper River Barbecue heating up the Goodwill Bridge this Sunday, August 31, from 9am to 11am.
The maestros of simple cooking, Sunshine Coast mums Rachael Bermingham and Kim McCosker, of 4 Ingredients cookbook fame, and 4BC’s Gourmet Bob will share their sizzling barbecue tips and cook up a storm.
Riverfestival artistic director Lyndon Terracini said Sunsuper River Barbecue was a fantastic free event during a a day of festival activities at South Bank.
“I encourage everyone to enjoy the festival atmosphere with friends and family and join us for a tasty and fun start to the day,” Mr Terracini said.
Other highlights of the day include creations from the “Out of the River … imagine” exhibition which will be on display, including “Lady of the Lake”, featuring a costume designed from plastic bottles and kites made from 350 plastic bags to inspire people to think about their river and its health.
