John Morrall is shedding his kilos dramatically on the current series of the Biggest Loser.
John Morrall may not be able to win the money on The Biggest Loser, but he's definitely won the respect of his fellow contestants already.
After only performing a structured program of walking and changing his diet, the Sunshine Coast's John Morrall shed a massive 10.6 kg in only one week!
After the Olympic Park Maze challenge, Sam and Cosi got to choose members for the Blue and Red team and John was on Sam's list:
“This might come as bit of a shock to everyone but I am choosing John because he is the most mentally focused person here." Sam said.
"Even though he can’t compete in all the challenges John will be great to have on the team to keep us all motivated.”
John, who was recently told that he would not be able to compete for the prize money, was happy to have been selected for the Blue Team.
“Sam knows what I can do, there are the advantages to having me on the blue team."
Despite the team being at a physical disadvantage, with John's bad heart and Sean's injured foot, trainer Shannan was still optimistic, saying to Sean and John, "What you have here is going to save your life."
Although they are seen as the weakest links because of the condition and injury, they performed well on the weigh-in, with John's 10.6kg loss and Sean's 12kg loss adding up to near half of the Blue team's 49.6 combined loss for the week.
John also made sure Shannan understood his level of commitment
"What I am doing here is fair dinkum, I’m not joking. If I don’t do this I could die, and I don’t want to die."
Despite the restrictions placed on his training, John is determined to perform, saying to AJ, "Ive walked 500 miles and I will walk another 500."
