Wayward party boy Corey Worthington has been taken into police custody.
The 16-year-old is being interviewed at the Narre Warren police station in Melbourne about the out-of-control party he organised while his parents were in Queensland, according to AAP.
"After the interview (police) will decide their course of action," a Victoria police spokesman said.
Corey's arrest follows an incident earlier today where the teenager ran out of a radio station during a live interview when the host tried to remove his plastic yellow sunglasses.
He fled down a fire escape, chased by news camera operators and a radio producer, according to a Fairfax report.
The Melbourne teenager, who captured the spotlight after his party turned into a free-for-all attended by around 500 teens, also refused to take off his sunglasses during an interview last night on A Current Affair.
When host Leila McKinnon asked him to remove them, he responded: “Nah, nah, I’ll leave them on.”
Pressed by an increasingly agitated McKinnon to apologise to his parents, the police and neighbours, he said: “I’ll say I’m sorry but I’m not taking off my glasses … ’cos they’re famous.”
Corey has refused to return home and face his parents since the party, at which teens spilled out onto the street, damaged property and threw things at police.
Asked during this morning’s radio interview if he was planning to return to home, he said: "To get my clothes and stuff."
He also said he had been approached by DJ Lako to run an underage club in Melbourne.
Police have threatened to bill Corey up to $20,000 after police cars and neighbours' property were damaged and 30 officers, a helicopter and the dog squad were called to the party.

I rather tend to think that as his parents would have supplied said gear they would be justified in not allowing him to take one thing apart from gifts given over the years out of that house.
He is a coward and a total waste of space as far as I can see. This ladies and gents is a by product of the taking away of parental rights and control over their children and should blame be allocated lay it squarely at the feet of the various dogooders.
This kid knows he has done the wrong thing and because he is under 17 he will get away with it.
Let him go out into the world he will soon find out its not a very nice place to be at that age.He can only bludge off his mates parents for so long then what? Back to dear old Mum and Dad?
In this case Centrelink would be doing a great disservice to give him any money whatsoever. Why should Taxpayers support him?
Wake up and stop forcing this idiot, britney and paris down our throats and cover some more important issues instead of this crap!
He has broken no law to require jail, and the threat of a fine is laughable; his parents will pay it and its obvious he holds no respect for them..
I guess it doesn't surprise me when you see the number of airheads driving around aimlessly, totally unemployable, trying to be Paris Hilton lookalikes.
