Gwyneth Paltrow has been admitted to hospital.

The actress was taken to New York's Mount Sinai Hospital on Monday afternoon, January 14, by her Coldplay star husband Chris Martin.

Onlookers claim Gwyneth - who has two children, daughter Apple and son Moses, with the 'Fix You' rocker - looked very unwell and had to be pushed into the medical facility in a wheelchair.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "She was slumped over in a wheelchair pushed by Chris. She looked unwell."

Later in the evening, a brown paper bag filled with products from New York organic health food store and addressed to "Gwyneth Martin", was delivered to the 'Shakespeare in Love' star.

Gwyneth - who used to follow a vegan diet but now has a more varied eating plan which includes white meat and fish - spent the night in hospital, accompanied by Chris, 30, but it is not yet known why she was admitted and whether she has now left.

A representative for the 35-year-old actress said: "We are not commenting as it's a personal matter."
