Coast product Rebecca Oakley’s dream run at the World Qualifying Series’ Mr Price Pro in South Africa has come to an end.

Sunshine Beach’s Oakley, who now lives at Burleigh, was eliminated in the six star-rated event’s round of 24.

Oakley finished third in her heat with a two-wave total of 8.24, just 0.19 points behind second placegetter Brazilian Bruna Schmitz.

In the men’s ranks, Maroochydore’s Mitch Coleborn was eliminated in the round of 96 while Alexandra Headland’s Blake Wilson is yet to surf his heat.
