The Queen of Rock, Suzi Quatro will be in the flesh at Noosa Tewantin RSL on Friday, when Brandi hits the stage with her show, The Wild One Tribute to Suzi.
Brisbane-based Brandi began following in Suzi Quatro’s footsteps when she took up bass guitar after reading the rock star’s biography.
She bears an uncanny resemblance to the star. Her powerful voice and energetic bass playing and stage persona have fooled many into believing that she actually is Suzi.
Brandi rocks hard performing all Suzi’s hits in the original keys; Wild One, Devil Gate Drive, Can the Can, 48 Crash, Daytona Demon, Stumblin’ In; among many others. She even includes the famous Bass solo/Drum feature that has been part of Suzi’s show for many years. The show is electrifying, impossible to watch sitting down.
The show opens with a short support segment when Brandi and her band The Badcats get the audience primed and ready for Suzi with a cool mix of rootsy covers and driving original tunes. Brandi demonstrates her talent vocally and on the double bass, a sensational start to the show.
Then the band takes a 30 minute break to change persona.
Returning all in leather, Brandi in The Suit that became Suzi’s trademark with her stunning red LTD ESP electric bass and including a keyboard player in the line-up, the band transports the audience back to the seventies with all the energy and passion of Suzi herself.
The Wild One Tribute to Suzi section of the show is divided into two segments together of two hours of hard-hitting driving pure excitement.
Audiences are left exhausted and dripping with sweat. This has got to be the best tribute show to hit Queensland in many years.
Don’t miss The Wild One Tribute to Suzi Quatro when it comes to Noosa Tewantin RSL this Friday.
