Make sure you are at the Pomona Majestic Theatre on Friday at 7pm for a mega concert showcasing Terri Delaney and at least 29 of our talented local musicians who have come together to support this singer/songwriter/community.
The amazing line-up of musicians includes local legend Linsey Pollak, Brett Young, John Fredericks, Arron Bool, Patty Lyons, Paul Martin, Kath Williams, Susie Gosling-Oday, Di Mills, Adhi, Fleur, Jalberto Maldonado and 4BS, Jambezi and more.
The music is a stunning journey across musical genres sure to appeal.
When asked where the inspiration for the music comes from Terri said, “music that inspires me and other musicians I write with covers a broad spectrum, from jazz to world music, including rock and pop”.
“One of the really exciting things about working with this awesome group of people is hearing the songs come alive with a big band; guitar, drums, bass, keys, violin, marimba, sax, imbira and back-up vocals. It’s just so much fun, a dream come true,” she said.
Another thrill for Terri is that with the support of the former Noosa Council’s Regional Art Development Fund, a DVD is being filmed by Idiot Box Media on the night.
“I’ve decided singing is a priority and having a promotional DVD is going to really help with getting work for myself and the musicians I play with,” she said.
“I’m going over to San Francisco and the Bay area for three months in late September for professional development and to build connections for future touring over there too so having professional promotion material is a real must.”
Terri wants this night to be a real celebration of the great people who reside here and the lifestyle we get to live on the Sunshine Coast so one of her favourite dance bands Jambezi will be there to dance the night away.
