Latin music has come a long way in this part of the world, especially the dance element with the ever-growing craze of people wanting to learn the salsa.
To dance and have great fun on the dance floor, you need a good band with the necessary ammunition to get you going all night.
Hence Noosalsa! Presented by Timbeao Planet Music and supported by Arts Queensland, is the Latin event not to be missed this winter as it will treat you to the best in Afro-Cuban music and dance.
Scheduled for the J on Saturday, this promises to be an awesome night. Dancers will have the room and an ideal floor to do their twists and twirls, the band will deliver their captivating music, punchy and clear.
DJ Sabroso will keep the dance floor burning with his Latin mixes, making fantastic overlaps of pumping dance favourites.
The Chukale dancers will also present a mesmerising floorshow.
Undoubtedly Australia’s finest Afro Cuban salsa ensemble, Chukale are particularly well known for their high energy and pulsating rhythms. The band includes some of Australia’s finest professional salsa musicians, hailing from Chile, Uruguay, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Chukale performs authentic Cuban salsa, Timba and Colombian classics. Fronted by two female singers, and supported by a powerful brass line-up and a driving rhythm section, the Brisbane-based band has created quite a following.
