The generations may have changed and the graphics become a little better, but the smiles on our children’s faces remain the same – all because of a chipmunk called Alvin.
The five-time Grammy Award-winning group, created by Ross Bagdasarian in 1958, has finally made it to the big screen with an all-singing, all-dancing children’s movie Alvin and the Chipmunks.
A whole lot of nutty fun is had in Alvin and the Chipmunks when struggling songwriter Dave Seville (Lee) allows three talking, all-singing chipmunks into his home. They soon wreak havoc in his kitchen and his life.
Tunes from the original cartoons such as Witch Doctor turn them into overnight music sensations with Alvin, Simon and Theodore riding on the roller-coaster of success.
A greedy record producer (Cross) exploits the trio and soon the movie turns in to chipmunk mayhem.
Dave races to save his furry friends before they are turned into fur balls.
Wander through the special features. Children will laugh at the ‘munk mania, bop to the dancing tunes and make you remember the adorable creatures.
