What's a Canadian backpacker to do after he falls in love with Australia and moves here permanently?

Well, bring the tastiest part of his country Down Under, of course.

Former world traveller turned Sunshine Coast local, Wayne Bond, makes it his business to keep the chocolate flowing.

Sunshine Chocolate Fountains will be one of hundreds of businesses to feature at this year’s Farm Fantastic in Caboolture from July 18 to 20.

“It’s actually a Canadian invention, but my daughter saw it in New York and brought it to my attention,” he said.

“It just caught my attention, and everyone likes chocolate, don’t they?”

Wayne said while he was once a chocoholic, he has reigned himself in since he started his business four years ago.

“I could sit down and eat a big chocolate bar no problem, the ones with peanuts and everything,” he said.

“(But) it’s like working in a pizza bar, you can only eat so many pizzas... with smelling it and looking at it, so now I let everybody else enjoy it.

“I only have it now when I clean the machine and lick my fingers.”

It will be the third year in a row that Wayne’s business has featured at Farm Fantastic.

“It’s a very busy place for us, we have all different types of people coming through,” he said.

“Everybody’s amazed at it, we get a lot of ‘ooohs’ and ‘aaahs’ and lots of offers to help clean up.”

There are more than 700 sites at the expo.

Farm Fantastic takes place at Pumicestone Road, Caboolture from July 18-20.

Hours: Friday and Saturday 8am-5pm, Sunday 8am-4pm

Tickets: Adults $12, seniors $8, children under 10 free
