Bob also speaks from the pulpit

Noosa mayor Bob Abbot also has spoken from the pulpit in the lead-up to the election.

He accepted invitations to speak at Noosa Christian Outreach Centre last Sunday and at Suncoast Christian Church this Sunday.

Mr Abbot said he was “regular visitor” at Noosa COC and had worked with pastor Michael Clift on numerous projects.

He made it clear he was not after the “Christian vote”.

“There is always talk of the Christian vote – to identify it is to take away from Christian values,” Mr Abbot said.

“People vote the way they see fit. I’m not chasing any specific vote, I’ve worked with them for a long time and am more than happy to celebrate with them.”

In fact Her is going one step further than not chasing any vote and is letting the people of Noosa know they have a legal entitlement to not vote. The gov exists so that the will of the people can prevail and in Noosa 95% plus of the people want to retain their local council. The gov requires the consent of the majority to proceed with abolishing Noosa. A majority non vote will cause an injuction to be lodged and various action beginnning to create a stand alone common law council. Bob Abbot met with HER on Tue and current Noosa councillors will vote on this option on Thur the 6. Mar.
