Biggest Loser contestant John Morrall: Losing weight, but also losing favour in the house.
The Sunshine Coast's own John Morrall is at the centre of much of the conflict within one of the teams on the reality TV show The Biggest Loser.
In last night’s episode, the 44-year-old advertising manager - who is running for election to the new Sunshine Coast Regional Council - voiced his annoyance at the fact that fellow Blue Team contestant Alison had been "attacking him" behind his back.
John earlier won respect for his massive weight loss but has recently become known for resisting working with the group, as well as his outspoken views. Last night he caused upset by stating that he would rather leave the White House than wear a chest strap heart monitor.
Although John's weight loss has been on track, dropping from 150.3kg to 124.8kg - halfway to his goal weight of 100kg - trainer Shannan is "sick of John’s constant defiance", according to the Biggest Loser website.
"Jokestar" - a website user - seems to agree that his resistance to the heart monitor is uncalled for.
“He suddenly decides that he does not want to do that any more so has to leave. OMG how ungrateful can one person be?” he writes in John’s forum.
After Kirsten’s teary outburst on last night's episode, John promised to remain with the team and not let them down, but public support for John seems to be on the downturn.
“I liked john when the show began he seemed like a very kind man and felt sorry for him and his disadvantage in the game, but now I think he is just a turd, always trying to be the man and leader of the group,” says Dezza26
“He should have stayed the way he was from the start and it may have kept him in the game longer. I believe he is next to go.”
With the Black Team's arrival, the tension levels will be raised in the White House tonight, and "a shock turn of events" promises to see the Blue Team reeling.
Tune in tonight to see if John has pushed the boundaries too far and if his days in the house are nearing an end.
