Who is Lisa Curry-Kenny

Lisa Curry Kenny, winner of 15 gold, seven silver and eight bronze international medals, is the only Australian swimmer to have held Commonwealth and Australian records in every stroke except backstroke.

She competed in three Olympics; Moscow in 1980, Los Angeles in 1984 and Barcelona in 1992.

She is a Director of The Curry Kenny Group of Companies which includes property development, aviation, promotional services, personal endorsements and health and fitness books.

Over the years her series of health, fitness and motivation books for children and adults have sold nearly 200,000 copies.

Lisa fulfilled another ambition by coaching and competing with her outrigger teams, the ‘Riggeroos’ and ‘Mooloolaba’, to win four World Championships in the 72km Outrigger Canoe race in Hawaii and the first Australian team to do so in the history of the race.

She was also the first Australian to win the Solo Canoe World Championship.

Her swimwear company, Hot Curry, won two awards at the prestigious RAQ Fashion Awards, taking out the Swimwear Award as well as the Excellence in Manufacturing Award.

Lisa is married to Olympic medallist and Ironman legend, Grant Kenny.

They have three children (Jaimi, Morgan and Jett) and live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
