A blazing second round start allowed Sunrise Beach golfer Katherine Hull to leap to equal second place at the halfway mark of the LPGA Tour’s Michelob Ultra Open yesterday morning.

Starting at one-under, Hull carded four birdies in her opening six holes on her way to a two-under round of 69. Hull is at three-under overall, nine strokes off the lead.

Meanwhile, Peregian’s Steven Bowditch missed the cut at the Nationwide Tour’s Fort Smith Classic by four strokes.
