Headland's Josie Ryan formed half of the winning foursomes team at the 2008 Queensland Women’s Country Championships at Toowoomba Golf Club at the weekend.

Ryan and Lyn Garred (Surfers Paradise) had four birdies in a round of three-over-par 76 which could have been much better had they avoided their double bogeys on the 17th and again on the 18th.

They still finished with an eight-shot victory over Robyn Muir (Headland) and Leanne Palmer (Toowoomba). Mt Coolum’s Jean Warren and Pat Stead won division three.
