Whether you’re looking for a relaxing holiday destination, a short getaway to a foodie’s paradise, an indulgent spa and shopping spree or a clean, green tourism experience with some of the world’s most stunning scenery – Noosa delivers.
If you want to get close to nature, breathe in the refreshing ocean air while wandering through spectacular national parks, taking a 4WD tour or paddling a canoe down tranquil waterways.
Or if you are keen to sample the freshest seafood, meats, farm produce and gourmet delicacies, feast your senses at any one of the world-class cafes and restaurants in the Noosa area.
You’ll find most of the delights on the menu have taken a quick journey from paddock to plate and are grown right here. You can even meet some of the growers and producers yourself at the weekly Noosa Farmers Market.
After indulging your tastebuds, why not work off those calories with a swim or surf at one of the beautiful beaches? From popular Main Beach – just behind the buzzing shopping, dining and accommodation precinct of Hastings Street – to the quieter Sunshine and Sunrise Beaches or, further to the north, perfect Peregian, there are plenty of options for taking a dip.
When you want a break from the beach, take a drive to explore the lush, rolling countryside, with its colourful hinterland towns such as Eumundi, Pomona, Cooroy or Cooran. Why not stop off for lunch, a round of golf or a ride on the historic Mary Valley steam train while you’re there?
If you want to shop till you drop, it’s hard to beat the gorgeous boutiques that line classy Hastings Street, but Noosa also offers plenty of other choices for shoppers, including the bustling nearby Eumundi Markets which are always bursting with crafty creations, clothes and artwork.
With a host of special events on throughout the year – from the Noosa Longweekend in July to the Noosa Jazz Festival in September – you may want to time your Sunshine Coast holiday to coincide with the festivities.
On top of all its wonderful attractions, the area also boasts one of the best year-round climates in the country, and has an enviable record for environmentally clever planning.
Noosa. It’s a natural wonder, naturally.
