Weather bureau radar from November 20.
The weather bureau has included the Sunshine Coast in its latest warning issued at 7.30pm.
A severe storm warning is in place for parts of the Sunshine Coast in the Caloundra area.
A severe storm warning was also issued about 5.40 pm for the Scenic Rim and parts of the Gold Coast, Lockyer Valley, Logan City, Gympie, Ipswich City, Southern Downs, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba council areas.
The area south of Noosa Heads was expected to be affected by 6.30pm.
Damaging winds, large hailstones, very heavy rainfall and flash flooding were likely.
Emergency management Queensland is advising people to move cars under cover or away from trees, secure loose outdoor items, seek indoor shelter, avoid using telephones and look out for fallen powerlines, trees and other hazards.
