Weather bureau radar from November 20.
The weather bureau has issued a severe weather warning for the south-east coast and predicts winds of about 90kmh-100kmh.
At 11.20am, the bureau said residents should prepare for potentially damaging gusty winds which would be worst about ridges and higher-ground.
A trough system was expected to cross the southeast of the state this afternoon and then move off the coast this evening, the bureau said.
The State Emergency Service is advising people to secure outdoor object and watch out for fallen trees and powerlines.
The warning comes as Brisbane, Ipswich, Toowoomba and other Queensland towns step up clean up efforts after several damaging storms swept trough the area during the week.
The Sunshine Coast has received only minor damage so far.
The next bureau update is due at 11pm unless the situation changes earlier.
The SES can be contacted on 132 500 for emergency assistance if it is required.

We'll sort another date soon. Here's the 8.40 pm local ABC update
. "Gusty conditions will continue tonight and through
Sunday about the southeast of the state but winds are no longer expected
to be
damaging.
Winds are NO LONGER expected to reach 90 km/h within the affected region.
Wind gusts of between 50 to 70 km/h are still forecast to occur overnight
and on
Sunday."
I noticed that it snowed on the ski fields in spring. You watch - the so called scientists will see that indicates global warming as well.
