Kawana product Chris Flannery has been leaving a path of destruction on English league fields ever since he signed with St Helens.
But apparently his impact has been nothing compared to his four-legged namesake.
As revealed in the Daily last month, Flannery has had a baby white rhino named after him.
And, just like the former Rooster, he’s a real handful.
“”I’m sponsored by a safari park over here and when the rhino was born the manager decided to name it after me,” he said.
“It was more a publicity stunt than anything else, but apparently it’s been charging into cars and causing a bit of damage around the park, so it’s getting a lot of coverage in the papers over here.
“The boys have been giving me a bit of stick over it asking where it was conceived because we look similar and stuff like that.
“The boys think it’s hilarious.”
Kind of makes it fitting that St Helens are taking on the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League grand final.
