Emergency services have had to deal with two crashes on the Bruce Highway in a matter of minutes.
In the first crash, two people received chest injuries and were taken to Caboolture Hospital after their silver Ford Falcon left the road, travelled over a median strip and crashed into a tree around 11.25am near the Steve Iriwn-Beerburrum Road exit.
A second vehicle, which belonged to a person assisting those involved in the crash, was then struck by someone driving through the area.
Acting Senior Sergeant Graeme Farlow said people needed to be wary of hazards when driving around car crashes.
He said the driver involved in the first crash would be interviewed by police.
