Road opens after fatal crash

Two people have been killed in a crash at Caboolture.

Police have reopened a Caboolture road after two people were killed and a woman and two-year-old child were injured in a three-vehicle crash.

Police said a man and a woman died in the 11.40am crash on the D’aguilar Highway at Moodlu. A 61-year-old woman is in a critical condition and a two-year-old boy has received minor injuries, while the driver of a third vehicle was not injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.

Meanwhile, a 74-year-old Gympie woman has died in hospital today after a car crash last month.

The woman was involved in a two-car collision on Fisherman’s Pocket Road on September 19. She was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital suffering from arm, leg and head injuries, but died this morning.
