Rain leaves light pole worse for wear

Greasy roads played a part in numerous minor traffic accidents on the Sunshine Coast yesterday.

The notorious Sunshine Motorway-Brisbane Road on-ramps at Mooloolaba claimed another victim, this time a silver Subaru about 8am.

The car ended up on its side, after slamming into a light pole and bringing it to the ground. Energex were called to repair the damage.

Two people were taken to Nambour General Hospital with suspected minor injuries.

It was a similar result a few hours later in a single vehicle accident on the David Low Way at Yaroomba just before 11am.

A vehicle slid off the road and into trees on Noosa Parade about 1pm and two cars collided on Didillibah Road about 1.30pm.

No one was seriously injured.

"Rain leaves light pole worse for wear "??

Funny... I thought it was the driver of the car who obviously wasn't driving to the conditions thereby causing the damage to the light pole, not the rain!!

When ARE we going to start accepting responsibility for our own actions?
