The Sunshine Coast Castle is one of the key landmarks in Bli Bli.
Bli Bli is an attractive, elevated suburb known for its castle and surrounded by sugar cane farms that have been operating since the mid-1800s.
Situated next to the Maroochy River, and only a few minutes drive from Maroochydore, Bli Bli offers a range of housing styles including affordable suburban homes, prestige acreage properties and new homes in the Parklakes estate. With such a range of housing options, there are properties to suit all budgets.
And at weekends, there are activities to suit almost everyone. A variety of activities are based around the Maroochy River such as fishing, water sports and boating that attract visitors every weekend.
For water-skiers, there’s Cable Ski World where you can try your hand at wake-boarding, knee-boarding, surfing and, of course, water skiing. Next to that is the Suncoast Barra Fishing Park, and a popular picnic area with children’s playground and skate park, or visit the nearby Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary and Parklands Forest Reserve.
Bli Bli also has easy access to the Sunshine Motorway and the Bruce Highway. The closest state primary and secondary schools are Bli Bli State School and Maroochydore State High School.
There are local shops, including a fish and chip shop, bakery, convenience store and bottle shop, in Bli Bli with the closest major shopping centres at Maroochydore and Nambour. Based on recent sales, the most expensive street is Camp Flat Road.
The highest house sale for the 12 months to the end of June 2008 was $780,000 paid for a four-bedroom home on a 3225sq m block in Atkinson Road, which sold in May.
Rental properties account for 20.3% of homes and townhouses in Bli Bli, with 75% fully owned or being purchased.
