The plight of Jessie Schroder has touched many and the offers of help just keep coming.
Just months after the community banded together to give the six-year-old, who is the advanced stages of Wilm's tumour, her party in the park, the police and a local business are back helping out her and her mum, Kellie.
The tumours on Jessie's lungs grow by the day and the family are moving home to be closer to her after she was readmitted to Nambour General Hospital.
Strangers who have never met Jessie or her mum, Kellie, and three siblings have donated time, money and even a car upon hearing of the little girl’s plight.
Senior Constable Carl Christensen met Kellie and her children while helping at Jessie’s party in the park and he and his colleagues were touched by the love and strength shared within the close-knit family.
They have stayed in touch and were heartbroken to learn that Jessie had been re-admitted to hospital shortly after Christmas.
To allow Kellie to focus on spending time with her children, Snr Const Christensen and some of his colleagues have banded together to help move the small family.
Budget Rental at Maroochydore has donated a truck for the morning of the move and the helpers in blue are more than happy to donate their time and muscle to get the job done quickly and without fuss.
“They are such a beautiful family and she is a gorgeous little girl,” Snr Const Christensen said.
“We want to do whatever we can to make this easier for them.”
