Quad biker dies in midnight forestry ride

A quad bike rider was killed overnight while riding with a mate in forestry just south of Maryborough.
The rider was killed when he hit a tree in an area 2 kms south of Marbach Road at approximately 1.45 am.
Fire and Rescue crews and Ambulance officers attended but were unable to save the man.
Police forensic officers are still investigating the incident.
